What is Danish Language 3 Examination?

The Danish Language 3 Examination (Prøve i Dansk 3) is the conclusion to Danish Language 3, Module 5. The level required to pass corresponds to Council of Europe test level B2. You can use the Danish Language 3 Examination, if you want to apply for Danish citizenship or for admission to one of the following programmes:

Vocational training programmes
AVU (General Adult Education) courses at centres, so-called VUCs, around the country
Social and healthcare training programmes
GIF (Special upper secondary programme for non-Danish speakers)

Registration

It is free to sit the Danish Language 3 Examination, if you are enrolled on a Danish Language 3 Course at Speak and registered for Module 3.5. However, you are required to pay a fee to sit the examination, if you are an independent student.

Price and dates for the Danish Language 3 Examination

The Danish Language 3 Examination November/December 2022

Written examination: 15 November

Oral examination: during the period 5–16 December

Registration deadline: 5 September 2022

Price: DKK 1.434,-

 

The Danish Language 3 Examination May/June 2023

Written examination: 23 May

Oral examination: during the period 12 – 23 June

Registration deadline: 13 March 2023

Price: TBA

Preparing for the Danish Language 3 Examination

If you are not enrolled at module 3.5 at Speak, you can register for an intensive brush-up course that prepares you for the written and oral part of the exam.

Where is the examination held?

You can choose to sign up for the examination in Hellerup/Frederiksberg or Helsingør.

 

The written examination takes place in;

  • Frederiksberg
  • Helsingør

The oral examination takes place in;

  • Hellerup / Frederiksberg
  • Helsingør

 

We will inform you about the exact location no later than 2 weeks before the examination.

It is not possible to request for a certain examination location apart from what you can choose at registration.

ID requirements

You are required to show a valid photo ID to be admitted for both the written and oral parts of the Danish Language 3 Examination.

How do I get my certificate?

You can pick up your certificate at Speak one week after the end of all the exams.
