FVU Start
Who can apply?
FVU stands for Forberedende Voksenundervisning (Preparatory Adult Education). FVU Start is a free Danish course for you who would like to improve your oral Danish skills and vocabulary. You must be able to talk and understand Danish, in order to participate in the course. Our FVU courses are developed to help you do better at work, in your studies and in your day-to-day life.
What is FVU Start?
At FVU Start, we will train you in oral Danish to help you become better at speaking and understanding Danish, and we will teach you to write and read short messages, such as e-mails.
The course will also prepare you for FVU-Danish, level 1.
Entrance requirements & booking
You can enrol on the FVU Start course when you have passed;
- Danish Language 1 Module 5
- Danish Language 2 Module 4
- Danish Language 3 Module 3
Or you have been assessed for a corresponding level.
If your Danish level is higher than the above mentioned, you should book an appointment for FVU Danish.
If you are under the age of 25, and you are not an independent student, special conditions apply. Please find more information in chapter 2 in the FVU-declaration.
Conclusion
You can finish the course by sitting an internal examination. If you pass the examination, and you want to continue with FVU Danish, you may book an appointment for a screening.

Time:
- Lessons are once a week, Monday to Thursday: afternoons or evenings

- The course is free.
