Who can apply for FVU Mathematics?

FVU stands for Forberedende Voksenundervisning (Preparatory Adult Education). FVU Mathematics is a free course to you who would like to handle daily situations with numbers better. Classes are conducted in Danish. Our FVU-courses are developed to help you do better at work, in your studies and in your day-to-day life.

What is FVU Mathematics?

At FVU Mathematics, we will be working with everyday situations involving questions with numbers. The course consists of 2 levels.

At Level 1, we will work with, among other things,  purchases and sales, recipes, games, timetables, calendars and working time.

At Level 2, we will work with, among other things, currency, interest rate, price, discount, weight, temperature, distance, direction, time and date.

Entrance requirements for FVU Mathematics

You can enrol on FVU Mathematics when you have passed;

• Danish Language 1 Module 5
• Danish Language 2 Module 4
• Danish Language 3 Module 3

Or you have been assessed for a corresponding level.

If you are under the age of 25, special conditions apply. Please find more information in chapter 2 in the FVU-declaration.

Level examination

You can finish FVU Mathematics level 1 & 2 by sitting official level examinations. If you pass the examination, you will get a certificate.
