Danish for SOSU

Many SOSU students with Danish as a second language face language challenges during both school and training periods. This can affect their learning, well-being, communication and ultimately their ability to complete the programme. That’s why Speak offers targeted programmes that strengthen the language skills of multilingual students and support the professionals who work with them.

Our training and workshops are designed for different professional groups in the SOSU programmes – e.g. training supervisors, teachers, education managers and education consultants – as well as for the students themselves. The focus is to give all parties concrete tools to create safe and clear communication, support students’ professional and linguistic development, and ensure consistency between school and training.

The content ranges from methods to support students in everyday communication and SOSU professional language, to assessing language skills in admissions and recruitment. The goal is to create the best framework for students with Danish as a second language to understand instructions, communicate safely with citizens and colleagues, and stay motivated throughout their training programme.
