FVU Healthcare Danish is for those who already work – or want to work – in the healthcare sector in Denmark and want to become better at communicating with patients and citizens.
We offer:
- FVU Healthcare Danish Start
- FVU Healthcare Danish level 1+2
At the Start level we focus on oral skills, while at levels 1+2 we primarily focus on reading comprehension and writing.
Focus on healthcare language
We take the language of healthcare as our starting point
FVU Healthcare Danish is for those who already speak Danish but want to improve their oral expression and vocabulary. In FVU Healthcare Danish, we work with the language that healthcare professionals need in their daily work.
The teaching is based on realistic situations from the healthcare sector. We use short videos and cases to help you learn to understand, react and respond appropriately in different conversations. There’s also a focus on reading and writing to help you become more confident in documentation and written communication.
To be admitted to FVU Healthcare Danish, it is an advantage – but not a requirement – to have a health-related education. The most important thing is that you work – or would like to work – in the healthcare sector and want to strengthen your Danish language so you feel more confident and professional in your work.
Entry requirements for FVU Healthcare Danish Start
You can start FVU Healthcare Danish Start once you have passed:
Danish Language Education 1 module 5
Danish Language Education 2 module 4
Danish Language Education 3 module 3
Or being tested to an equivalent level.
Entry requirements for FVU Healthcare Danish level 2 & 3
You can start FVU Healthcare Danish levels 2 & 3 once you have passed:
FVU Danish level 1
Danish Language Education 2 module 5
Danish Language Education 3 module 4
Or being tested to an equivalent level.
If you are under 25 years old
If you are under 25 and not self-supporting, special conditions apply.
Completion of FVU Healthcare Danish
If you are on level Start, the course ends with an internal test to assess whether you are ready to move on to FVU Danish Levels.
If you are on levels 1 – 4, you can choose to finish the course with an officially recognised level test.
