FVU Healthcare Danish – strengthen your language skills in practice

FVU Healthcare Danish is for you if you already work in – or wish to work in – the healthcare sector in Denmark and want to improve your ability to communicate with patients and citizens.

 

We offer:

  • FVU Healthcare Danish – Start
  • FVU FVU Healthcare Danish – level 1+2

At the Start level, the focus is on spoken communication, while level 1+2 primarily focus on reading comprehension and written skills.

 

FVU Healthcare Danish is for you if you already speak Danish but would like to improve your spoken communication and expand your vocabulary. In FVU Healthcare Danish, we work with the language used by healthcare professionals in their daily work.

 

You already speak Danish but want to improve your oral communication skills and vocabulary. The course focuses on the Danish that doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants and other healthcare professionals use with patients and citizens in Denmark. Among other things, we will work with short videos to help you understand and respond appropriately in different situations. We also focus on reading and writing.

 

The teaching is based on realistic situations from the healthcare sector. We use, among other things, short videos and case studies, so you learn to understand, react, and respond appropriately in different conversations. There is also a focus on reading and writing, helping you become more confident in documentation and written communication.

 

To be admitted to FVU Healthcare Danish, having a healthcare-related education is an advantage – but not a requirement. What matters most is that you work in – or would like to work in – the healthcare sector and want to strengthen your Danish language skills so you feel more confident and professional in your work.

Admission requirements

You can start FVU Healthcare Danish Start once you have passed:

  • Danish Education 1, module 5
  • Danish Education 2, module 4
  • Danish Education 3, module 3

Or if you are tested at an equivalent level.

 

You may start FVU Healthcare Danish level 1+2 once you have passed:

  • Danish Education 1, module 6
  • Danish Education 2, module 5
  • Danish Education 3, module 4

Or if you are tested at an equivalent level.

 

If you are under 25 and not self-sufficient, there are special conditions.

Finalisation FVU Healthcare Danish Start

You complete FVU Healthcare Danish with an internal exam.

If you pass the test and want to continue in FVU Danish, you need to book an appointment for a screening.

Finalisation FVU Healthcare Danish level 1+2

You can complete FVU Healthcare Danish level 1+2 with an official level test.
