Language support in elder care
- A long collaboration with the City of Copenhagen
Speak has provided language support to employees with foreign healthcare qualifications for several years and has supported their linguistic development so they can begin their evaluation employment and handle the language-related tasks they encounter in their daily work at nursing homes.
The concept of language support for foreign nurses was developed in collaboration with the City of Copenhagen and has now become an established service that has spread to other municipalities.
Several municipalities wish to collaborate with Speak
Together with Frederiksberg Municipality, we have adapted the concept to the needs and employees working in elder care here. The concept includes language screening of foreign employees with foreign healthcare qualifications and practice-oriented Danish-for-healthcare courses in small groups at workplaces in Frederiksberg Municipality.
Ballerup Municipality has also chosen Speak to provide training for their foreign employees with healthcare qualifications from their home countries.
