Danish for SOSU
Danish for SOSU
Many social and health care (SOSU) students with Danish as a second language encounter linguistic challenges during both their school periods and practical training. These challenges can affect their learning, well-being, communication, and ultimately their ability to complete the education. That is why Speak offers targeted programmes that strengthen multilingual students’ language skills and support the professionals who work with them.
Our teaching and workshops are designed for a range of professional groups within the SOSU education system – such as practical training supervisors, teachers, education coordinators, and educational consultants – as well as for the students themselves. The focus is to provide all parties with concrete tools to create safe and clear communication, support students’ academic and linguistic development, and ensure coherence between school and practical training.
The content ranges from methods to support students in everyday communication and SOSU-specific language, to assessing linguistic prerequisites during admission and recruitment. The goal is to create the best foundation for students with Danish as a second language to understand instructions, communicate confidently with citizens and colleagues, and maintain motivation throughout their education.
