FVU Danish is a free course for those who want to improve their reading, spelling and writing skills in Danish.
The FVU courses are designed to help you perform better at work, in education and in everyday life.
FVU Danish consists of 4 levels. In addition, we offer an introductory level, FVU Start. You start at the level that suits your level.
We offer FVU Danish day classes at our branches in Hellerup, Frederiksberg or Lyngby.
Admission requirements
You can start FVU Danish when you have passed:
- Danish Education 1, module 6
- Danish Education 2, module 5
- Danish Education 3, module 4
Or are being tested at an equivalent level.
If you are at a lower level, you may be able to enrol in FVU Start
If you are under 25 years old, there are special conditions. Read more in chapter 2 of the FVU executive order here.
To start FVU, you need to book an appointment for a screening where we test which level you should start at.
NB: If you book an online screening, you must be able to use a computer and have access to it throughout the test.
Level test
You can complete all levels of FVU Danish with an official level test. If you pass the test, you will receive a test certificate.
You can use step 2 to apply for a permanent residence permit and step 4 to apply for Danish citizenship.
