"The improvement is measurable after every class. We are learning a lot and reasonably fast, not only the Danish language, but also we are having a crash course on the most important aspects of the Danish culture. Our teachers are highly qualified and have experience with students from different countries. The fact that the course is held at DTU is also very convenient for those that - like me - enjoy long hours in the lab."

The course is definitely fantastic!

Group-based Danish lessons

You’ll learn Danish in a classroom with other students and staff members who are at the same level as you. Our courses are organized as blended learning with attendance once a week supplemented with online assignments.

The courses are based on your everyday life at DTU, and you will quickly be able to get by in Danish in your everyday life, both at university and in your free time. At all levels, we focus on your pronunciation.

Classes take place at the DTU campus in Lyngby, Building 210.

Danish Education 3

Our Danish courses at DTU are organized in Danish Education 3, which consists of 5 + 1 modules. Each module ends with a module test. The courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR.

Pronunciation workshops

As a supplement to your Danish lessons, you can also choose to participate in all the pronunciation workshops you want.

See dates and times for pronunciation workshops here. You don’t need to enrol, but can join when it suits you.

Summer courses in August

We also offer intensive summer courses at DTU in August. The courses last 2½ weeks and are for both students and staff. Classes are held with attendance every day.

The courses are a great opportunity to not only learn Danish, but also get to know other students and staff at DTU and expand your network in Denmark. Each week you can also sign up for an optional excursion and spend time with your classmates in a more informal way.
