Danish courses for ITU employees
Speak offers intensive Danish courses at all levels for international employees and their spouses at the IT University of Copenhagen. The course is mandatory if you are an international employee at ITU, regardless of whether you have taken Danish before.
We organise the courses to suit your needs and interests, whether you want to speak Danish in your free time or at work.
Danish lessons in classes
You will attend Danish classes in a fixed class once a week with 2-8 shared colleagues or spouses. A course consists of a total of 12 sessions per semester. Each session is 3 lessons.
The course is based on both your everyday and professional life at ITU. We focus on your pronunciation from start to finish. The course will enable you to communicate in Danish in your daily routines both at university and in your free time.
The courses are held during working hours at the ITU campus on Amager in Copenhagen. We start new courses every semester (February & September).
Course price
The courses are free of charge.
However, spouses will be charged a course fee. For more information about this, please contact ITU HR employee Anna Valvik Andersen: mavaa@itu.dk
How to sign up
To get started, you need to enrol online here on this page, even if you are a previous course participant. Once we have received your enrolment, we will invite you to an interview to assess your Danish skills. This way you are sure to start in the right class.
We try to organise continuous enrolment in the classes, but not for beginners, where it is necessary to join from the start.
