Do you want to spend 2 or 3 weeks of your summer learning Danish?
Our intensive Danish summer courses are for those who want to spend 2 or 3 weeks of the summer boosting their Danish. We have both face-to-face courses with classes every day and online courses with 2 weekly conferences.
The summer courses are Danish Education 3 courses and you must be prepared to work intensively with the Danish language every day. Please note that attendance is compulsory for the attendance courses every day during the course period. If you are absent from the course for any reason, you will unfortunately not be able to continue.
You must be over 18 years old to participate.
We offer intensive summer courses in July (DU3, modules 1-4) and August (DU3, modules 1-2).
The courses will be set up provided we get enough enrolments for the individual modules.
You can enrol online if you are a complete beginner or book an interview if you already speak some Danish.
If you are already a Speak student, you need to contact us in person, by email or phone to enrol.
The deadline for registering for the July courses is 16 June, 2026 at 12:00.
What do you learn on a Danish summer course?
All summer courses are part of the official Danish education system.
If you are a beginner or slightly advanced (module 1 or 2), you can complete an entire module in 3 weeks – or finish the second half of module 1 or 2 in 2 weeks.
If you are an advanced learner (module 3 or 4), you can take the first or last half of the module in 2 weeks.
You must pass a module test to complete a module. If you do not complete a module, you can continue the module from August/September.
Classes every day + homework
On an intensive Danish summer course, classes are held every day, Monday to Friday, during the course period. In addition, you should expect approximately 1½ hours of homework per day. The course is intensive and you need to attend every day in order to keep up.
During the July courses, in addition to the classroom lessons, we plan a cosy and informal excursion every week, which you can choose to participate in. On the August course, we plan a single excursion during the course. It could be a canal tour in Copenhagen, a visit to Christiania or similar.
Course prices
The summer courses are free if you are eligible for Danish Education (Danskuddannelse).
However, you must pay a deposit, which will be refunded if you pass the module within the deadline.
Read more about the deposit rules here.
If you are not entitled to free Danish Education, the courses cost:

- DKK 3.995,- for 2 weeks
Please note that the fee is non-refundable if you do not complete the course.
