How do we best support multilingual learners' language development?
The course is aimed at teachers, counsellors and reading counsellors at SOSU schools and focuses on how to best support multilingual students’ language development – both in school and during training.
Many SOSU students with Danish as a second language experience big differences between teaching and training. This course provides concrete methods to create a common thread for SOSU students throughout the programme.
Participants in the course will gain knowledge about:
- What it means to have Danish as a second language
- How to support students in learning and memorising new words
- How to create a connection between school and training
Participants of the course will be equipped to:
- Support students in their professional and linguistic development
- Work purposefully with SOSU professional language
- Apply concrete tools and strategies in the classroom
Objective:
To strengthen the ability of teachers and counsellors to create consistency in language support across school and training – so that multilingual SOSU students can better acquire and use the professional language throughout their education.
