Gain knowledge and tools to support and guide SOSU students in everyday language situations

The course provides participants with knowledge and tools to support and guide SOSU students in different language situations in everyday life.

The goal is for students to better understand instructions, learn professional language and become confident in communicating in the workplace.

 

Participants of the course will gain knowledge about:

  • What it means to have Danish as a second language
  • How learners acquire language in training
  • How to best guide multilingual students – e.g. through group counselling and learning agreements
  • How to avoid misunderstandings in communication

 

Participants of the course will be equipped to:

  • Support learners in everyday language situations such as instruction, documentation and passing on observations
  • Introduce strategies and tools that support learners’ language development

 

Objective:
To strengthen counsellors’ ability to support students with Danish as a second language in their linguistic and professional development in everyday life.

 

The course has a duration of 1-1.5 days – start by appointment.
